Woodshop
The LM Woodshop is a 3,000 sq ft space featuring a lathe room, bench room, finishing room and a power equipment room. A fully equipped woodshop serves the project needs from the beginner to the professional woodworker and all experience levels are welcome to join the shop. Half our members come in with no woodworking skills but plenty of ideas, so whether you are an experienced professional, an eager newbie, or anywhere in between, you’ll fit right in!

Checkout Info
Using the woodshop requires a checkout. All members, regardless of previous experience or skill must take a checkout course and demonstrate their ability to use the equipment safely and responsibly.
There are 2 checkout levels in the Woodshop:
- Level 1 provides access to the shop and the use of the miter saw and drill press as well as the sanding area, hand tools, etc.
- Level 2 provides access to all the power equipment. For Level 2, you will need to demonstrate proficiency in operating all the power equipment.
Level 1 and Level 2 checkouts are conducted Wednesdays at 7:00pm. Signup is required by notifying the Shop Captain or emailing woodshop@lowellmakes.com.

The Machinery Fundamentals class is a two-part workshop held monthly to train members on the proper use of the woodshop equipment. Workshops are limited to Lowell Makes members.
