3D Printing
Lowell Makes is home to a number of different 3D printers, available at different levels of repair. We offer a wide variety of desktop FDM machines. These include our three shop-filament Prusa printers, equipped with dedicated print servers and autonomous monitoring to provide a simple day-to-day user experience. Some are suitable for general use, while others are engineering projects of their own.
We are equipped with a modified Lulzbot Taz for more demanding engineering applications, and several custom built project printers for more advanced tinkerers. The shop recently received a large donation of Ender 3 Pros, which are being integrated into the shop to expand our throughput capabilities.

Checkout Info
The 3d Print shop requires a checkout before use. For beginners, we suggest getting checked out on our 3 Prusa machines. They have preloaded filament with the settings already dialed in. If you have prior experience, you can look into using the three Ender 3 machines, or some of the enclosed printers.
We also have a new resin printing station with 2 Elegoo printers and a PartPro, as well as ultrasonic cleaners and curing chambers. This station has its own checkout.
