How to Get Started
Follow these steps to begin your journey as an instructor:
- Complete the Instructor Interest Form: Share your class idea and basic details.
- Collaborate with a Sponsor: We’ll pair you with a Shop Captain (e.g., Wood Shop, Metal Shop) or a member of our Education Committee to refine your class description, schedule, and pricing.
- Develop a Proposal: With our support, create a formal proposal including descriptions, materials fees, and visuals to help promote your class.
- Promotion and Logistics: We’ll handle the marketing through our member portal, external calendar, newsletter, and social media channels.
- Day-of Support: A Lowell Makes contact will assist you on the day of your class, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Receive Payment: After your class, we’ll invoice ticket sales at the start of the following month. Payments are typically processed within 4 weeks.
